Lloyds really get on my t!t$. The majority of the people I have dealt with really are a bunch of monkeys (except for those behind the counter). I thank god I saw the light before things got too bad.

You could try asking them what colour underwear they are wearing?

I'm sat here laughing like a loony. Must print them out and keep them next to the phone, so when the insurance people call me I can have a laugh
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

I didn't mean it to be compared to zincs posts - they are classic. sometimes I have to be sarcastic I cannot help myself? But 3 in 3 mins is pushing money collecting to the limit. I had to go out to fetch she who is nameless from work so there could have been more. I wonder if the caller was on an Asian DMP and needed the commission to pay his monthly bill?

On a serious note she who shall not be named said that as soon as she said 4 times the caller seemed to panic: interesting?

Not read the linked thread yet, (but I will, now) but I had HSBC do a similar thing to me a while back.

I was called out of the blue from a withheld telepone number, and the person at the end tried to do security quesitons on me. Yeah, right, you could be anybody. Just said they were from "the bank" at first - (That always bugs me - which one? I've got accounts with several!) They were very agressive and tried to bully me and my wife, who answered the phone first.

So I ask for a name, and get a first name. Ask for a phone or extension number - and get told that they don't take incoming calls. Oh right. So I say if they can't prove to me who they are, why should I trust them with my own personal details. They hang up.

Repeat at least four more times over the next couple of days.

I eventually phoned the HSBC customer services line, who checked the records, and confirmed that it really was one of their departments trying to contact me. I had a dormant current account that had drifted a few quid overdrawn (but still within overdraft limit!) thanks to interest charges.

I ended up sending the branch a cheque, a complaint, and a letter to close all my accounts with them. OK, I wasn't a valuable customer, but I'd never deal with them again.
