Hi Codgernow
You mention you have all the regular savers Martin mentions, but have you seen this excellent thread by special saver http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=608697
Principality have very recently introduced a new regular saver for members of 2 years or more which pays a minimum of 4.7%, this can be held in addition to any other Principality regular savers you already have.

Buckinghamshire Building Society’s interest rate page for Regaular Savings Accounts (http://www.bucksbuildingsociety.com/investments/interest-rates1.asp?type=7) indicates that the “Chiltern Gold Builder” is now a “Closed Issue”. The replacement “Chiltern Gold Builder (Issue 2)” only pays 3.50% gross, and is available from 26 April. The MSE link http://www.bucksbuildingsociety.com/investments/chiltren_gold_builder.asp has now been superseded by http://www.bucksbuildingsociety.com/investments/chiltren_gold_builder_issue2.asp - it is interesting that they can be bothered to launch a new product to cut the interest rate, but not correct the spelling mistake!

I've just been told that the Stroud and Swindon account is due to be withdrawn today. I'm off to open an account now.0

Hi everyone!
I have been saving 1000 a month for the past 8 or 9 months cos i'm due to get married in May 2011 and need to save every penny!! I get my salary in one account and transfer 1000 every month into my regular savings account.
My query is, me and my other half would like to set up either a joint account or a regular savings account with a good rate... can anyone advise on what type of account to go for?! what is a good rate these days? it all seems to have got very complicated!!!!
I need access to the money in the process of booking various things and paying deposits etc.
Thanks in advance for your help...

As regular savers only allow a limited number of withdrawals one or more Lloyd Vantage accounts is the best best. As it's a current account making payments is very easy. The 4% interest rate if your balance is £5,000-£7,000 is very good.0

Hello everyone.
For once, I'm actually trying to sort out my money.
Having been travelling I currently have no job, but as soon as I get a full time job I'll be saving approx £200ish a month to put towards future travelling.
I'd also like a seperate savings account where I can put money in and not touch it for things like future mortgage etc.
Can anyone help me in nice simple language? I've looked on the site but there's bits that really confuse me and I don't know what I'd be better off with.
Thank you for any help0 -
If you have a First Direct "first" account, there's a 5%, £25-£300/month regular saver account available:
http://www1.firstdirect.com/1/2/savings/regular-saver-account
It must be funded by standing order from a First Direct "first" account.
Hope this helps. Thus the old Gentleman ended his Harangue. The People heard it, and approved the Doctrine, and immediately practised the Contrary, just as if it had been a common Sermon; for the Vendue opened ...THE WAY TO WEALTH, Benjamin Franklin, 1758 AD0 -
Have had a regular saver with Dunfermline BS for about 15 years, they have moved which issue I,ve had before, however they are maturing my issue 3 and moving me to a gold account at 0.10gross (gulp).
They do offer their new issue 7 however it involves changing the account and the standing order.
Just a wee heads up for anyone in the same boat.I have a deep burning indifference0
