Where is best to save for my children?

Hi
I want to start putting a bit of money aside every month for both of my chilldren and although they both have child trust funds, want them to have a seperate saving account under my name, (not keen on them having access to the money at the age of 18 without my guidance!). Any ideas where is best start saving for them, I dont want to move around money on a regular basis, so looking for a long term account.
