what size screws?

i am building a studd wall from 3x2 studs and am wondering the best size/type of screws to use to join the studs

    4" nails everytime for me.

    Never seen studding assembled with screws ever (not saying that you cant) and I have worked on the sites of some very prestigious companies with excellent reputations.

  • Don't know if that was a veiled dig at me but i have been a joiner for 30 yrs and never used screws for studding,overkill in my opinion and that of all my college tutors.Having said that,screws will do the job.

    Nails are fine, though personally I like to use screws in DIY jobs.
