Which type of scart lead do I need for a Sagem freeview box? And where's the cheapest place?

There is only one type of scart lead (the "scart" is the type of connector on the end of the lead) So you just need a scart lead that goes from the box to the TV, didnt it come with one?

The only differences (as with most leads) is the type of material the lead is made of, e.g. copper, gold...

basic scart lead here for 98p: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=4629&doy=29m9
  • what difference does the different materials make?

  • Practically no difference whatsoever, so a £2 scart cable from Tesco will do you just as well as a £50 one from a specialist shop.

    Buy the cheap one.

  • A quick search on the internet, and the most expensive scart cable I found was £124

    Cheapest was £3 :T

But I'm fairly sure Tesco sell them for about £2

  • Get one that is fully wired ie all the pins are connected by wire between each end.

Cheaper ones might not have the RGB pins connected which means you can't use the best picture quality. One's that are fully wired tend to have thicker cable than one's that don't have all the pins wired.

BTW cheapest scart lead is a quid from a pound shop.
