Free web design software?

Am looking to set up a website for a charity organisation. Anybody know of a decent web design program that can be downloaded free and also where to get a custom web address and space for a cheap as possible?

Bear in mind that I am a complete and utter novice in making websites, although I'm pretty IT literate.

If you haven't been taught Dreamweaver its quite difficult

web matric was easier but its still a crackign bit of software that i use all the time. Even for my embedded perl pages and my sites hosted on apache the editor is excellent

http://www.OrchardHosting.com will give you free webhosting if your a charity (you need to open a support ticket though cos they don't advertise that.) You can get a domain from them for around £4.90/year if its a uk domain.

Some web design sites will design a site for free or at a discounted amount if you are a charity. Just a thought if you were having trouble yourself designing it.

Why not try a University?

Most have endless ranks of IT students gagging for projects to work on for the cost of nothing. Usually very skilled as well.

thats good but if you want more then head over to a2bhosting.com where i got my hosting from £40 for the year 100MB +5GB plus get loads of scripts like mambo content managment system you can edit you website on the internet no need for any software . Theirs other software inculde with hosting deal but you usually get this with all hosting providers so you choose from wide range hosts.
