Do you mean for the shops and stuff?? I usually just park in the Matalan car park which is just 2 mins walk over the bridge to the High Street, and about 10 mins to the beach. If you go up to the top where the shop entrance is it is always pretty busy. On a Saturday you can park pretty much anywhere on the streets after 1pm, and on a Sunday is all free.

On saturday up until 1pm there is a voucher system in place for parking on most of the streets. As Niccim says after 1pm you can park for free on the streets.

There are very few places that have free parking in Ayr now, Matalan now charge and if you spend £25 in store they take it off your shopping or some silly scheme like that.

Rino think you mean Morrisons, Tesco is further away from the town centre. I think Morrisons may have the cameras that record your number plate and if you stay over the designated time the parking company can get your details from the DVLA.

There is a small free car park on Station Road, it's on the opposite side of the road from the station. From there it's a 5 minute walk to the shops and about 15 mins to the beach.
