I live outside the UK, can i still reclaim charges?

Hi

I currently live outside the UK but have kept my UK bank accounts going. I'd now like to reclaim my bank charges back - as they add up to a nice sum of money! But can i do this is i dont currently live in the UK?

I have requested and received details from my bank of the charges i incurred from 2002 - 2004 - during which time i lived in the UK. I also still have property in the UK and will pay some tax there. So do i qualify or will the fact that i am not a UK resident mean I cant apply!

My bank currently send my statements etc to my overseas address. I suppose i am classed as an Irish Resident because i work and pay tax in ireland.

Does that matter?

Thanks
