Tax Credit Form messed up anyone?

Hi
We recently received our Tax Credit renewal forms but both mine and the wife's were missing a number of pages, but the cover and inside sheet were repeated. The missing pages included the Self Employed and Other Earnings sections.
I'm just wondering, with two of us having this incorrectly assembled form, whether they've messed up the whole production of these forms or just a small number/single batch???
If it's every (full) renewal pack, this could cost a lot to put right!!
Thanks

why not just ring up to renew? or, ask them to send you another pack while theres still time?0

Seconded. I've never filled in a renewal form, merely picked up the phone and done it.0

yeah I just phone up too.quicker,
but I can see ur concern.
I have had other peoples paperwork with my letters in the past, puy in the same envelope!!!0 -
One of the things they ask when you ring is whether the info they have already is correct. If half of it is missing, how would you know?
Or do you mean the bits of the form that you fill in? If that is the case, then, yes, just ring them - much easier imo.0 -
they send you a letter to confirm it all after renewal. i think hes talking about the renewal form itself
We always get the form and a run down of the info they hold about our circumstances in the renewal pack. This year, the form said I was working an hour a week more than I did last year, so I corrected this when I renewed.
If that is the bit missing, then the OP won't know if they have the details correct or not.
And yes, we then have to check the new and finalised awards they send after renewal.0 -
Hi all
Thanks for your comments. I thought I'd better respond to some of the questions and suggestions that people have raised.
First off, it does seem to be just the form that's messed up. I'm 99% sure that I've got all the sheets with what we told the-for for the last tax year. Now I've got it in front of me, it says "TC603R Notes (April 2008)" in the bottom left corner and it's actually entitled "Tax Credits Renewal Pack, Checklist and Guidance Notes". This does have forms in it to gather all the information you need to give. The missing pages are 5 to 10 inclusive and 27 to 32.
Secondly, we do do our renewal over the phone. However, because our earnings aren't straight-forward we like to go through the form first, reading the guidance notes as we go so we know what needs to be included or excluded, and exactly where things need to go. After all, we wouldn't want to be overpaid!
Thirdly, I will be asking for another pack.
So, why did I post you may be asking? I just wanted to see how many other people had received a form that wass messed up like this. I was kind of hoping, with my twisted sense of humour, that they'd made yet another great balls up, and that I was one of the first to spot it. Oh well, by the look of things, I guess that's not the case!0
