Morning everyone! I'm pretty much back to full energy and feeling much better. :j

Jinky - hope you feel better soon
Redsquirrel - good luck for the interview

I can't believe its 10th June either. My exams are now only 5 months away and I still have soooooo much learning to do. So long as work is quiet I'll be okay (I hope!) but I know there's a big audit coming up and I'll be lucky to finish work before 8pm while that's on so I can write 2 weeks off for that as I'll barely have time to eat. (I will get up extra early though to keep up my running every morning:A )

The other scary thing about it being 10 June is that it means I'll be 35 in 25 days:eek:

Hope you all have a good one.

Well I have some gossip :D

You know hubby's ex wife (from hell). Well, to cut a long story short, over the past 3 years she has been a bloody nightmare about us having hubby's daughter. She point blank refused to let us have her here, insisted he go there and spend the day with her as well as the daughter. She had told the little one that mummy and daddy were still married and together but Daddy was working away... all sorts of confusing nonsense. Then of course we had the episode where she insisted that she wanted to come to Canada at christmas with us to spend a family christmas together. She only backed down when she was told that if she came she would be paying her own way and would have to stay in a hotel.

Anyway, I decided to kill with kindness, as the fighting was getting us nowhere. So, I invited her over for dinner and was so sickly nice it was enough to make you vomit. After that, everything changed. She was suddenly phoning me and asking if we would have his daughter sleep over for the weekend etc. She was treating me like her best friend. All good, we got what we wanted. I said to hubby that I wondered if she had a boyfriend.

So, fast forward. On sunday he went to pick up the little one, I told him that he should tell her about orlandia becuase otherwise she would get the hump if she heard it from his daughter and not him. He told her, and she was fine with it. But then a funny thing happened, on the way home his daughter said, that means I am getting 2 new babies because mummy is going to the hospital in October to get a baby.

It turns out, that the ex wife is 5 months pregnant but wanted to keep it a secret from us. She was mad that the little girl had said soemthing. She had said that even after the baby was born the LO was not to tell daddy  She has been seeing someone for a few months and to be honest I'm not sure that even the father of this new baby knows.

Now, do I get the prize for having the most screwed up ex wife to deal with?? :rotfl:

i do feel bad about all you peeps that spent a fortune (esp. with the kids)
    to come up.
And us locals spent next to nothing:o

It ws worth it to be honest... so don't feel bad about it.

I love doing interesting new things with Erin, and sad though it may be, going on the train, meeting you lot, going on an open top bus, and round some new shops was interesting and new!!!

And yes i spent more than i might have at home, but it really wasn't too bad.

Bunny - you would've spent more as you had petrol, accomodation and allsorts! And 2 kids are dearer than 1!!!

We enjoyed it so much, we're going to do the same again in the summer holiday. Go down and get on the bus but getting on and off to visit the places. Taking Big G too.

I did really enjoy it and same as you Maz, I love the kids having new experiences so it's all ok-the only killer is the petrol tbh! I will be getting that back in expenses from work for the training but my poor bank account looked soooo sad, lol.

Toto, I meant Best Western, not Great Western, doh!

Ditto - although she hasn't displayed quite that level of craziness, I wouldn't put it past her!

I've had a couple of nice freebies in the last couple of days and there's noone to tell except you lot, as my friends think i'm mental when i go on about MSE-ing.

Swimming vouchers from Cornflakes etc - turns out our local pool takes them so we can get a free swim or two sometime, leave it til nearly payday as always skint then so will be nice to be able to do something!

Tesco deals - i have had a tenner days out voucher sitting in my purse since Liverpool hen night at Easter weekend (was going to take off to beatles museum but never got) - have found that there are some good places in blackpool that i can use the voucher instead. and it's only 3 weeks til our holidays!!

Nectar points - had over a thousand points so "spent" them on Take that CD, as haven't bought any new music for ages.

All things i would never have done before MSE-ness!
