Outlook Rule Email Fowarding Help

Hello,

As part of my job i have to respond to emails sent in.
In out office the first person who replys with "Dealt With".
Gets the emails. But i want to create a way to automaticly send a Reply saying "Dealt with".

I tried doing a rule. but its hard to forward the email then add dealt with. as outlook wants to foward first??

Can someone create a custome rule?
Please help. thanks.

What you want surely is an STMP mailbox, with multiple accounts acessing it, and the first person to read the message marks it a follow up complete, or whatever.
Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.

    Yes this is the process..

    1. Everyone receive an email enquiery.
    2. The first person to forward to everyone "dealt With" deals with the enquiery.
3.i want to create a rule that forwards the email to an email address with a note on the subject saying Dealt with.

    Understand?

Reading your last posts it sounds like everyone gets the emails which are coming in, Is this right? Does everyone access a single email account? I have thought about what you are trying to achieve, this may or may not help you.

If you have company email and it's on exchange server or similar, you can have external emails sent to what's known as a public folder. Everyone who needs access to the folder (it's really a mailbox) has access, and can create subfolders etc as required. Once an email comes in and is dealt with, it can be moved into a 'dealt with' folder. This avoids forwarding of emails etc, and any rules, and also allows others to access the same info and see the dealt with folder.

I think mhairipotter is right in his/her approach as we do something similar in our office. We have a public folder/mailbox where all mail addressed to estimators@???.com is received. All of my office can access this and we apply the follow up flags with a colour code system, and then flag complete (with a tick) when the enquiry has been 'dealt with'. This could work for you too.

i understand what your saying.. but..

the emails come in throught. team@email.com

but i login through ap@email.com but then the team ones get delivered to a selection to deal with. we then reply the email to the team letting them know i have dealt with?

    Understand?

Sorry but no, I can't make much sense of your situation.
