washer/dryer

Options
Looking at buying one of these for our new flat, however past experiences of washer/dryers has been that the drying part if pretty useless. Can someone please prove me wrong & recommended a decent machine that does dry well?

thanks

ooh gosh this takes me back some years, when i had a flat years ago i had the same problem, at the time i got a creda one it wasn't cheap but i have to say it was really very good had no problems at all with washing or drying it lasted a good 10 years as well, never had any that have lasted beyond 2or 3 years since.
I can't honestly say whether there still as good or reccommend any others, but it might be an idea to try which online, i hope that helps a bit ;D

Most of the people I know who have them wouldn't have one again due to poor drying performance, continual breakdowns and short lifespan. IMO if you can possible squeeze them in seperates are better

I have a Zanussi Jetsystem Turbodry 1600. It's larger capacity than a normal machine too. I've had it 2 and a half years and never had a problem with it.

It's energy rated A for both washing and drying and the higher spin speed means there's less strain on the dryer.

I have friends who have these too and they're very satisified.

It cost about £400 but in true money saving fashion, I went to my local factory seconds appliance shop - 2 very minor dents in the side (which you can't see anyway) and it was considerably cheaper than retail, but still came with a full guarantee.

    Hope this helps! :)

  • Thanks I will look into the Zanussi's as there is no way we can squeeze in separates
  • another option is to consider a condensor dryer which needs no venting so it can be put just about anywhere. so although you may not have the space in the kichen you may have some space in a cupboard.
