Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

    Today I have:
    • Checked banking and moved money about
    • Checked mystery shops a couple of times and managed to get a shop for next week
    • Done PB CT and comps
    • Updated spreadsheet and signature
    • Bought cheap fruit and veg from Aldi (and walked there and back)
    • Meals from stores
    • Walked to school rather than drive
    • Posted off an SAR and a CCA request
    • Set myself a challenge - see below (please!)
    • Bought reduced lamb mince - 2 for freezer, 1 for tomorrows dinner
    • Ooooh technically yesterdays - I booked 2 flights to Dublin, will take my mum on her first plane journey, Ryanair 1p flights, total: £4.84 :T
OK, my challenge, and I do need some help and support please! I dont want to start a diary or anything, but would like to update everyone, can I use you all? :D

I am going to take out my shopping money on thursday, £50, and keep it in my purse. I am going to shop only at Aldi, using cash only, and NOT use my card for extras. When the cash is gone, its gone. I am hoping to not only save money, but also petrol as Aldi is walking distance and I will only buy what I can carry in 2 bags. I shall update each day when I do my small stuff here. I am going to do small steps and try a week, see how I go. I hope you dont mind me tagging this on here, but I feel like this daily thread is my 'home' :o

    Hi cleosmum,
Feel free to keep us updated on your challenge:D and good luck with it. It is so easy to keep spending on stuff when you use cards all the time, it never seems like real money does it. Makes you think much more when you use cash.
    Reduce,re-use, recycle.
