When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Anyway today i have/will
Quiet day planned at work (hopefully)
Have a good day everyone:D

Hello everyone
Happy Tuesday!
Well... after a hair raising evening with my OH having just come back from switzerland and telling me how much he had spent  , I have a new found vigour for money saving!! Don't go to Geneva for a cheap city break
Today I have- extended his overdraft for free to stop him paying fees, as he was going to go over, so saving muchos bank charges - he can have a quiet month next month and pay it off
- made us both home made fruit salads with natural yogurt for a yum breakfast to have at our desks, and brought in rolls for lunch
- check mine (and his  ) internet banking
- update my life (I mean spreadsheet
)
- pigsback (about £1 away from a voucher!)

Morning all.. well today..I have took the day off... not so sunny here in Nton today though!! But will do:
Internet Banking, Take photos of items to go on ebay thurs, washing at 30 degrees and clean the bathroom which has been left for over a month !DEBT FREE - MARCH 2012 - NOW JUST THE MORTGAGE!
MFW 2012 No.148:£1600 / £450.00
Mortgage - 102,57.160 -
Internet banking - still no refund from Cinema Paradiso or MyMovieStream  - 84p in my account till Thursday. Can I make it last?! We'll see...
Pigsback clicks - got 755 points now, not sure whether to convert it to an Amazon voucher to get part of the fathers day present or just save it. Quidco seems to have come to a standstill although I have £70 waiting to be paid! :T
Taking half day holiday to work at my hourly paid part time job - should be an extra £25 next week. Working till 6pm though which means I'll miss half of the Spain v Russia game, had thought it was the late kick off
For lunch I'm eating the other half of yesterdays £1 Tesco fresh soup - boiled up some veg this morning to add to it so hopefully I can make it stretch another day! Got rolls from freezer to go with it, and sliced carrot, home made flapjack and an apple for snacks.
Have a good day everyone!0 -
