Mastercard question?

in Credit cards
I just paid £3,000 off my mastercard as the interest was stressing me out & i was getting charged for using gambling sites also , so i saved 3 grand and paid most of off my balance off and then transferred the rest £2,000 to a new visa card so i can pay it off without the added interest.
The thing is now my mastercard is at £0 can they close it if i don't plan on using it soon? , as i would still like to keep it for emergency reasons.
I've also seen that it now says my account is in positive balance as i just had a refund from a company which i totally forgot about , will they get funny about this?

They could close the account, alter the terms, reduce the credit limit etc. However, if you pay regularly and keep within terms they're more likely to give you more since you've shown the potential of earning them interest and have a high turnover on the card.
Clear the positive balance by spending or asking for a cheque as most CC companies don't like positive balances.0 -
why not simply spend a little each month e.g. buy some petrol and clear the full balance (set up a DD for the full amount).0
