Days Inn have a guarantee that, once having booked with them, if you can find a room cheaper than their best available rate within 24 hours they will give you a night free. I've just booked our January Sale shopping trip courtesy of the Days Inn Westminster. I always use https://www.bhrc.co.uk to compare and it's always cheaper. Make sure that the room and details are exactly the same, fill in a claim form and they email back within about 4 hours. A weekend away in London for nothing!

The bhrc website looks to have bargains. Just a bit confused, how do you get a weekend free and not just a night from days inn? Thanks for this, looks good. Please explain more

In response to the OP , we too live in west yorks and love our cheap weekends away . Depends what you want and the budget but our recent trips have been .

    London ( last week ) train was £19 each return , travelodge was £26 a night(double), 241 at tussads waxworks ( saved £25)

Camping, cheap tents at this time of year , pitches from a tenner a night, take some booze and pitch next to a pub, might be getting a bit cold / dark now, try the haven site for a cheap van at primrose valley etc.

Blackpool, last year we got a cheap hotel on ebay. Not sure what the deal is now but worth a look I suppose .

Weatherspoon lodges were doing good deals a while ago but again not sure now. In any event cheap booze in the pub below. We did Chesterfield of all places, made a change from Leeds and what we saved on taxis ( tenner to town from here ) went a long way towards the room.

Wherever you stay take plenty of booze from lidl etc, plenty of little thief ( sorry I ment little chef) discounts out there ( 50% available if you really look) should you get hungry on the way there .

If I sound like a food loving, miserly wino ..thats me!

hope this helps, more details just ask.

edit, erm just realised december so forget the camping.
On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.
  • Buy a Sinsbury's magazine for October for £1.20. On page 187 there is a coupon that gives 3 nights for 2 in a Le Routiers which are small hotels and Inns. You can go any day so this includes weekends. You must book in advance and quote Sainsburys ref. 05 and take the voucher to present on arrival.

Went last year to a place just outside Plymouth and it was superb.

Sorry Bestyman,we normally travel up first thing Sat am and return Sun pm. However, living in Bristol the journey's only just over an hour and so one night, for us, is a weekend away. Even so, a free night is a free night! This applies to Days Inn all over the UK; as long as their best available rate is cheaper elsewhere your first night (or only night!) is free!
