Oil Filled Radiator

would a Oil Filled Radiator be cheaper to run, than say having gas central heating on to warm a house?
its a 2kw oil filled radiator , thinking of buying 3 as they in sales now. 1 for sitting room, kitchen, and top of landing.
with prices of gas and electric, wondering if just using electric and not gas at all so it just one bill to be paying ' thinking ahead for next winter'

thanks advance

Electricity costs more per KWh than gas so it will never be cheaper.

I had the same thought as you, however after done a lot of research from the internet, Oil Filled Radiator is the cheapest method for electricity method compared to fan, halogen etc. and the gas heating is always the cheapest.

All electric heaters are 100% efficient, there is no difference between the types of electric heater.

An oil filled radiator will stay warmer for a longer period than a fan or halogen for the simple reason that it took more electricity to heat it up in the first place.
