Have you had yoru annual inspection and had any reason to call them out during the 6 months?0

They done an inspection in Januray to see everything was ok. So simply they want to charge me for that visit. I will give them a call again and check if they say different amount as suggested by TAG.

Sorry to be to the point - but do you blaim them wanting to charge you for the inspection. At the end of hte day they are a business. You can't expect to have a service and then cancel and hope its 'free'. You would have to pay if a standard engineer came round to service the boiler.
But saying that it does sound expensive but guessing its in the T&Cs0
