Does anyone know the cheapest way to get the 6 French, free to air channels, in the UK ??
I've seen a deal for £235 on:

Anyone managed to get it cheaper than that ?

I can certainly get TF1, France 2,3,4,5 & M6 (will have to check Arte - never have until now) on my Technomate 1500CI+ (£99 delivered) with a minidish (cost me £15 new) together with max £10 worth of cable..... so how much is that ? say £125-130 in round numbersThere are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't
In many cases it helps if you say where you are - someone with local knowledge might be able to give local specifics rather than general advice0 -

I know Ross (that runs the AnalogueSat site - link via https://www.analoguesat.co.uk preferred) is a helpful guy - but analogue transmissions really are a short-term thing now - there's certainly more available on digital (see Ross' other site https://www.digitalsat.co.uk - it's the equivalent of the one above - but for digital transmissions)There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't

Thanks for that Hunnymonster.:T.. I can do a search for Technomate online. Where did you get the minidish from ?
Finally, do you get the output in colour on your TV ? or does the TV need some sort of SECAM compatability for that.Like a priceless jewel buried in dark layers of soil and stone, earth radiates her brilliant beauty into the caverns of space and time.

It's certainly all "en couleur" on my crappy little Panasonic portable... being digital reception, I think it's a standard DVB-S stream.
Got the minidish from a local satellite shop (well it used to be local, before I moved) - normally £25 - but they had a promo on. Check your personal messages.....There are 10 types of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't

But without a subscription, how do you manage to get TF1? I didn't realise that it broadcast in clear on DSat.
