Thinking of going for a weekend, will it be very quiet or a bit lively?
Also how long would it take by taxi from Faro airport, resort hoppa quote 1 hour 10 mins.

The Algarve is lovely in November. Warm rather than hot, but very pleasant.
Lagos is a great base, and there are plenty of good places to eat. Make sure you get to the Adega da Marina, at 35 Av dos Descobrimentos, along the main road. Excellent food, nice atmosphere, and very reasonably priced.
The time from the airport would be about right. There is a motorway now which runs behind the IP125, so that reduces journey times as you avoid all the villages.0 -
I was there on Sunday - unlike other parts of the Algarve it hasn't changed for the worse - highly recommended!0
