right we have an old but very trusty 1988 polo
i was having a clean up and poke around underneath , touching in any loose underseal etc...anyway ive poked a hole in the front corners of the floor..it would be between your feet and the sill , only about as big as my little finger
whats the mot rules about this...i recall something about being near a seat belt mount or suspension..mine arent
cant decide what to do...i could lend a welder but its right in the corner (spose i could weld from inside ) im half tempted to clean it up and use some primer and dollop of sealer to cover the hole, i think its been like it years and just not been noticed due to the thick vw underseal

Its within 30cm of a structural component, the sill, A post and seat securing points, so it needs doing. Just do it because come winter, you'll get wet feet and windows full of condensation on the inside.0

It has been know to simply glue in the plate from the inside then use filler and underseal under the car.
The tester isn't allowed to lift the carpet to check.!!!!!!!
I in no way condone this kind of repair.'Beware of little expenses. A small leak will sink a great ship'. -Benjamin Franklin.0 -
