Probably not too amazed! But come on tell all.
I have a three month old car - the paints coming off which I suppose could be a sign of a poor repair prior to sale?0 -
When Mrs V bought her new Mx5, she wrote accross the order form a note saying the vehicle supplied was not to have suffered ANY pre-delivery damage, paint or body, trim repairs.
Apparently this surprised the dealer, as he'd not seen this done before, but accepted it!!
She got her car, as she wanted it!!

I think one of the most amazing repairs was when i was moving a vehicle that was to be collected later that day on 1st March for the new reg.
A stupid delivery driver backed his van into the drivers door wrecking it, there was no way it could be repaired and we didn't fancy telling the customer their brand new yaris had been in a prang before they had even driven it.
Thankfully on the forecourt we had a pre-reg yaris of exactly the same colour and spec as the damaged one so our bodyshop guys took the good door of the one car, stripped it down to get the etched glass out, swapped the etched glass out of the customers into the good door then fitted the good door back to the customers car.
Customer was non the wiser when they collected the car and very happy with the vehicle. We then got the damaged door replaced on the van drivers insurance.0 -
I'm not a betting man but that's not been my experience - I always have a check of brakes etc before a service so that I have some ammunition should the service provider decide I need some urgent work
Quick Fit have never found any issue that required work.
Last year I was told by a VW main dealer that I needed new brakes, I was only due to keep the car for four more months. Took it into Kwik Fit and asked them to estimate the life of the pads to be told there was at least 30% of the pads remaining.:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0
