Play.com 4GB Flash Drive not working

I have just recently purchased the above flash drive. I am using Windows XP and when trying to copy files to the flash drive get the message that it is write protected. What to do ?
I have another flash drive that i've had no problems with.
I'm a techie novice so please be gentle !!:o

I think you may have put it on lock theres a little switch at the side normally ^.^0

There is NO hardware lock on the drive that I can see.

Just a thought, you are not trying to use an SDHC card in a normal SD reader are you - you will need an SDHC reader? (Cheapest available are the white ones in Poundland).
