Mira Shower Problems

Hi
We have a Mira power shower, the power bit runs off a separate unit and is not incorporated into the shower itself. The shower is not electric but runs off the mains.

Prior to the last couple of weeks, when I had a shower, the temperature control was around the 5-6-7 mark, my OH turned his up to 7-8 ish. Lately though the shower is hotter and I have to shower with the temperature dial turned down to 3-4, as a result of which, the water power is much reduced.

We have a temperature control attached to our hot water cylinder but, although we have turned it down slightly, there's been no change.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?

Many thanks.

sounds stupid but it happened to us - very expensive too!
if not maybe your hot water tank thermostat has stopped working? should be a round thingy attached to the outside of the tank in the airing cupboard.

    Thanks for your reply.

We haven't left the immersion on by mistake, in fact that was one of the first things that came to mind, that the switch had been accidentally knocked as we don't use it.

I too had an inkling it could be the hot water cylinder thermostat but when you turn the temperature control it clicks like a room stat does which made me think it wasn't that.
