HI
HERSELF is 7 months pregnant and badly needs a holiday.
so i thought a 4 night stay in Wales as we can get the boat over.
(two adults and one child)
thinking of staying generally in north Wales so im looking for reasonable b and b
and also places to see
would like to go to
snowden
also can u get to the top (or very near) of snowden with out walking don't think she would manage the climb
castle or stately home
cute touristy village/slate mines caves eth
forest park (
play area for the monster to let of steam)
mountain drives
herself has never been to Wales, so wont to show her the different aspects of the area....I spent my youth walking all over Wales but unfortunately, that was many years ago and the memory is not as good as it use to be

thanks in advance

You can get the train from llanberis to the top of Snowdon, but it's not cheap. Llanberis also has a slate mine. Touristy village - Betws-y Coed? Stately home(ish!) - Portmeirion?
Castles - Caernarvon or Conwy. I think a child would prefer Conwy castle as it is less 'restored' and better for running about in.

Hi we stayed here recently for 2 nights.
It is not b&b but it was well worth the money.

Maybe of use to others on the board.

Hi there, I know next to nothing about North Wales (why do you want to go there anyway, SOUTH Wales is fabulous :D ) but have you tried the tourist board website?

I'm sure some people in the Wales forum would have some top tips if you post there as well, hope you have a great holiday.

Sorry shaun40400 - I was being a bit facetious, I had read that in your OP :o

Seriously though, I would ask the lovely peeps in the Wales forum for tips as well - click here

These places range from country house hotels to guest houses. It's not cheap but they do have a last minute/special offers page:

  • Have a look a Llangollen (my home town!). Very picturesque, geared up for tourists, Thomas the Tank Engine (for the child, if they like Thomas that is), horse-drawn canal boat trip. There's Chirk Castle nearby. Bala isn't too far (if you want a lake).
