Easyjet - Maestro transactions

Hello all,
I am not sure if anyone has noticed this, but Easyjet card transactions seem to take quite a few days longer to leave your account than other transactions. Maybe this is only the case with Maestro, as Maestro is the only card I have used to pay for Easyjet flights.
I paid for a flight online on Friday just gone. I checked my bank account today and thought "woohoo!", £60 better off than I had calcultated. Then I noticed that the transaction for the £60.73 from Easyjet wasn't showing.
Any other time I do a Maestro transaction the funds leave instantly my account, even though the particular name/further details of the transaction don't appear for another couple of days.
Anyone know why Easyjet take so long to debit the funds from my account?

the serious answer is the onus lies with the person making transactions to keep account of how much money they have in the bank. does it matter when easyjet take the money ?0

If you read my original post then you will clearly see that I thought I was £60 better off than I should be, therefore I had budgeted for it but had momentarily forgot. I know how to use a bank account.
I asked a simple question but those who replied to the thread clearly lack the wherewithal to comprehend it.
So, I ask again, does anyone know why Easyjet take so long to debit the funds from my account?0 -

i could only guess .....have you tried ringing them ?
my bank accounts and credit cards work in mysterious ways but i've never seen it as a problem .when a company have agreed to provide me with goods/services and take longer than the norm to take payment i feel it's a bit of a bonus0 -
the guy is just a sad weirdo. I wouldnt bother trying to help him. Youll just get weird threats in your mailbox0
