in the latest avon catalogue, brochure 17, there is a sunrise alarm clock on page175, no idea how effective it is, but at £12, its a lot cheaper than the lumie ones, and if it dosent work as well as hoped, you can always send it back
Oh bottoms.... if only you'd posted earler.... :o:o:o

    I'll let you know how I get on anyway.. I hate winter/cold/wind/rain/dark mornings/dark evenings/snow/ice/feet/sleet/gales/happy people/politicians/frost/head lice/tornados/gordon brown/smog/germans/fog/slugs/hurricanes/pretty weather girls/spiders/rain/wind/cold/winter/dog poo/david cameron/chill winds/rain/bitten nails/dark mornings/thick frost/ice/mary poppins/winter/cold/wind/

But generally, I really love life and leap out of bed - at weekends around 11am (I wish)...

  • I just started reading this thread and eventually realised most of it is from 2005, yet boots are doing the same offer as then :) which is good news.

I've been thinking about getting one since it might help me get up for the gym at 6.30 - I find it very tough now we're into the dark mornings.

Just a question - what is the business about white noise? Is it that the clock is noisy coming on? Or is it to help you get to sleep if you have noisy neighbours?

And is it really worth spending more money for the bells and whistles ones? Prices vary from £60 to £140 - I was thinking the £99 one looked right for us but is there anything about the others that might influence the decisions?

    many thanks for any help...

I haven't got time to read back and see what was said earlier about white noise, but some people struggle to get to sleep if it's too quiet, and white noise can help to 'mask' tinnitus in some cases.
