Credit rating pickle

In an attempt to get my credit rating sorted I registered everything to my parents address. I'd moved house a lot due to being a student and working freelance and I kept getting turned down. I also got on the electoral role there.
A year or so later I applied for a credit card and to change mobile phone companies. I forgot what I'd done and gave my current address. I was refused for both.
Now, I dont know how to sort it and Experian want all your addresses to get your details.
What should I do? I've never missed any repayments and - although I have debts - they're quite small.
All advice appreciated.....

You need to update Experian with your current address and when you moved there and update the electoral roll too. As all your financial and other products were registered to your parents address you need to enter that and then the details of where you live now and when you moved in.
