hi
aynone give a rough guide to how much it would cost ofr a tottlay new hallway to be made.
have 4 rooms in a square shape then one room at each end that is the size of one room(the floor plan looks like a square shape with 1square sticking out from each side of one length.)
I need to take a bit of each room in the square so that a hall way can run along the length and meet the doors of the sticky out bits.
Hope i made it sound clear.
Any one got any idea of the cost to do such a thing , know its only a rough guide
thanks

Ill be more than happy to help you but youve got to provide me with way more information.
Better description of area and try to at least estimate dimensions
What material are the existing partitions/walls at the moment ?
Are any of the walls load bearing ?
What do you want to build the new walls from ?
As i said id be happy to advise but youre going to have to help me out about , lol0 -
Hi Swake
Thanks for the help, and here are the answers to the questions.
dimensions are hallway to be either 14 or 24 feet in length and standard width and would incorporate either 2 or 4 new doorways..
walls already in place are brick.
don't think they are load bearing.
would build new walls from chip rock.
thanks for the help.0 -
Hi cheep
Im still not sure how to imagine your existing layout. But i can give some advise on what to construct the hallspace from.
Personally i would build from metal stud (wide range of products from British Gypsum or Lafarge) It relatively cheap to buy easy to use quick to install. Depending on what the rooms are for then plasterboard accordingley.
You can then finish with a thincoat skim or tape and joint. As for removing what in situ (sp ?) at the moment providing there are no structual issues then its the cost of a skip (see local companies ads in newspaper) and the cost of a sledge hammer, lol.If you were unable to do the demolishion yourself id cant imagine it would take 1 guy more than 2 days to do.
I would say even at your biggest dimension of 24ft 2 partitions with 4 doors formed boarded and finished would be around 600 - 800 pound. If you did yourself you would be looking at around £250 for materials.0
