Hi,
It may be that when you are saving the file after editing it in movie maker you are saving it as the wrong file type , try saving it as another file type then try again.0 -

Is it possible that Windows Movie Maker isn't saving the edited file in the same place as the unedited version? It might be lurking somewhere in My Documents (possibly in My Videos)

thanks for the response .both the unedited and edited versions (different icon ) are in the "my videos" folder and are there until i try to "add title" through dvd flick then only unedited one appears .i must say at this point i've tried two other burning programs since posting with the same result .what file type suggest i try0

Don't know anything about DVD flick, but I'd try renaming the edited file and save in as .aviThat gum you like is coming back in style.0

You don't save a file in Windows Movie Maker, you need to go into the File menu but instead of clicking "Save As", click "Export". It will then be in the correct file format to burn to a DVD using DVDFlick.
HTH
The save function, by the way, is for saving half-finished projects, so you can edit it a bit, save and come back to it. It is confusing though!I don't believe and I never did that two wrongs make a right0 -
are you actually saving the file as a completed movie in movie maker - or is it just the project. You will be able to view the project as a complete movie in the movie maker program - but nothing else will be able t access it.
Once you save the file as a WMV - Mpeg or AVI file type - then other programs should be able to access it - such as Windows Media PlayerDon't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig0 -
thanks exup you're a saviour and i'm dumb . i wasn't saving it to my computer but as a project . frustration meant i didn'nt see the obvious mistake0
