Cutting door bar to fit - what to use?

I've bought a metal door bar from B&Q to go over where the carpets meet between rooms. It needs cutting to the right length. How can I do this cleanly? Would a hacksaw get a good result?

If your talking about a threshold then yes a hacksaw should be fine.

Just remember to measure and check 2-3 times before you start cutting.;)
