large icons & web pages

I had to re install windows vista after my laptop refused to load through. But now everything is big, the icons on desktop & my webpages. Please can someone tell me how to make it go back to normal?

    Try right clicking anywhere on your desktop, select properties, then settings amd change the resolution.

    For webpages there's an option under view for text size.

    Once you've got the resolution set correctly, you can adjust icon sizes on the desktop by holding down the CTRL key and using the scroll wheel on your mouse to increase/decrease size (don't know how you do it if you have no mouse connected to your laptop!).
