British Gas Compensation

just spent the last month trying to find out how my gas supply had been taken away from present supllier.
finnally got to the bottom of it all and seems that british gas had taken the supply my mistake it seems that they had made a mistake with the address
and ended up taking the wrong house over.

after spending hours on hold to various companies i finnally got thru to some one at bg who admitted there mistake and agreed to send me back to my original supplier.

after mentioning to him that none of this was my fault and all the hassle had time i had wasted on phone calls had cost me money.what were they willing to do for compensation.

he agreed that they would give me compensation but that i would have to c in write in for the amount i wanted.

just wondering has any one else tried to cliam and how much should i try to claim for.

any advice would be helpful not very good at complaining
