Just moved home and we need a phone line and broadband. We'd also like some extra TV channels. What's the cheapest way to do this? Should we get a 3 in 1 package or 3 separate things?

As far as I know (and I could be totally wrong!) I think the Sky package is one of the cheapest you can get, especially since you're wanting some extra channels.0

freeview?! that should be plenty of channels with a £20 set top box:happyhear0

I am going with Vrgin next year. Only because of the broadband. Pretty much 4 of 5 people in the house are comptuing courses so we'll all be downloading and using the net a lot so we like to have the 20MB package (whereas with Sky it is no gaurenteed).
We also are getting TV which we are paying for a lot of the channels. And telephone we are likely not going to use.
All in all £40 a month between 5 of us so its only £8 each, I am sure if there were less of us we would go elsewhere.
If you are not to worried about the interenet then I would also recommend Sky.0 -
Have you checed out the moneysaving guide to phone/broadband/tv packages? TalkTalk is cheapest for phone and broadband as broadband is free, you can get a set top box for £17ish these days, I have saved over £70 a quarter by changing from BT to TalkTalk and the internet speed is faster now!:cool:0

Yeah but talktalks broadband is notoriously !!!!!! - go with Virgin and you can get the broadband on its own without a phone line - do what we did and they'll barter with you quite a bit.
We signed up to 4mbit @ £25/month (this is 2 years ago) and after a week (30 day cooling off period) called up to cancel. When asked why we stated sky was £10 for 16mbit. So they reduced the price to match and gave us £55 for a wireless router (we said that was part of the sky deal and plucked a no. out of the air for a wireless router). Week later called up to cancel again saying 4mbit<16mbit and they upped us to 10mbit for £10/month less the £55 credited to our account.0 -
Talk Talk was terrible at first but now I have stuck with it for 2 years because it was so cheap.
I now have a connection speed of 7.2mb and lowest 6.8.
I needed to call America recently and this is free. It has saved me a fortune!!!!:A0 -
