Phone Rings After Call

Hi,
My Mum's phone often, but not always, rings after she has made a call. When she answers it there is nobody there. Is this a fault with the phone or the BT line do you think?

    Hi

This usually happens when the handset is not replaced on the phone cleanly, ie the handset taps the switch on the phone & then is fully replaced. This causes a 'recall' signal to be sent to the exchange, this nothing to worry about but if it happens a lot it might be worth changing the phone. Hope this helps.:o
  • Hi kinsman, Welcome to the forum. Thanks for the reply. I will have to wait until the weekend to try it, but it sounds quite likely.
