Barclay's free Kaspersky Internet Security suite

Only came across this on the Barclay's website, Free to on-line banking users (Kaspersky Internet Security suite (RRP £51) free of charge).

I haven't downloaded it yet myself but will do. Anyway, just in case anyone is interested.

how does Kaspersky compare to F-Secure or Avast?

I personally use AVG (and I'm a Network Analyst!)

I use Kaspersky and it is the best I have ever used. I believe it came second last year in a test and as far as i'm aware has always been one of the top three.

Depends which test you read and which scenarios are tested - Kaspersky AV did OK on this site's comparative test of February 2008, where it was 4th in an on-demand scenario, but not so well in a retrospective/proactive scenario of May 2008, where it was well down the field - around 13th, from memory.
