Try Travelodge, I think they have one of their promotions on at the moment too.

Try Priceline, with their 'name your own price' deal - http://www.priceline.co.uk/nyop.html

The 12th/13th is a Saturday, so you may be lucky for £50. Last time I used them (last year on a Saturday in July) I managed to pick up a nice 4 star in central London for £55 (for the room, not per person).

There is a thread on here about Priceline, but essentially, ignore the suggested RRP and make a cheeky offer. If they accept it, then great you got the room booked, and if they don't then you haven't lost anything.

The Kensington Forum is lovely ... it is also available on Priceline, so might be worth a look on www.betterbidding.com to see the price of recent wins x

We stayed at Norfolk House Hotel Thornton Heath, £90 for two nights B&B, Fri and Sat a couple of weeks ago. Off road car parking included. It wasn't brilliant but OK used by foreign coach parties.

Id suggest the Easy hotel chain (same people as easy jet), havent actually stayed-booked later this year, but its cheap and basic and has ok reviews too.
