power shower water pressure

I was wondering if somebody could advise on a power shower question. I have just had a triton altair thermostatic mixer shower fitted with a salamander pump and my question is regarding water pressure. When I have the shower turned to cold the pressure is nice and high,but when i increase the hot water temperature the pressure drops off consideribly. I have never had a power shower before but the warm water pressure is only just about the same as our old electric shower is it me or is it the shower?
