Broadband download limits

Options
Hi

Is there such thing as a utility that measures how much data that you have downloaded? Anything downloaded must be free of popups and ads etc.

Thank you for reading and any help

I find bitmeter to be an excellent tool.

Most good ISPs have a part of your account page that shows your usage and allowance used and left. Zen have a particularly excellent one IMO, including an add-on for Firefox that sits in the status bar showing how much is used and the total allowance.

I am with Zen but I never look at the meter :)

I have 100Gig download limit and unlimited uploads.

But as isofa said most ISP should have some sort of monitor you can access.

Using tools normally only record one PC, so if you have a family with more than one PC it is not very acurate.

I used Bitmeter in my Tiscali days (They warned me for using 55mb during peak time).

I soon left them and found a much better ISP with a 300gb limit so I don't need to watch my usage.
