Incapacity & Income Support/ ISMI

Hi

I have been surfing these forums for a few months, but now as the crisis is nearer to hand I feel I need to ask for help.

Situation - Between 2004 & 2006 I was previously on IB and returned to part-time work at the beginning of 2007 which unfortunately I have recently not been able to maintain. I was advised by IB when I notified them back in 2007 that I was endeavoring to return to part-time work, that if within the following 104 weeks I was unable to continue/manage working because of my condition/s, I would be able to have my IB re-instated at the same higher rate without the need to start afresh.

My Question - Does anyone know if the Income Support Top-Up that I was also receiving (which covered my mortgage interest) would also be re-instated without the 39 week waiting period, or would that be totally separate? I am especially concerened due to the fact I did move and have since taken out a new mortgage?

Thanks

If you are sill entitled to the IB 104 weeks linking, you need to reclaim IB from this period of illness ASAP on 0800 055 6688. Your ER will not be liable to pay you SSP, but you'll need a form SSP1 from them to go with your IB claim together with sick notes. Sorry, I don't know about ISMI.

    Hi Stazi & thanks

It's all a bit overwhelming (my fault for not acting sooner!) but will get on to IB after this post, sorry didnt respond sooner, organisation and promptness used to be one of my fortes, not so since my illness, much brain fog and anxiety prevents me from taking action. Thanks again.
