Anyone been to Thassos?

We have just booked a late deal to Thassos. Anyone know anything about it? We have been to Greece many times, and to lots of the islands, but not this one. We are staying in Thassos Town.

I have heard people say in the past that it's really nice, so when the travel agent came up with this, we went for it. We have several holidays a year but rarely do packages these days.

Any experiences.....:cool:

Mate went. Beautiful island - not much to do (who cares in Greece?) and does tend to shut down pretty prompt at season end (they went two weeks into October)

That's my idea of a Greek island too. As long as they sell Mythos.;)

I've just booked a late deal to Thassos too. We go 22/6 & are staying in Thassos Town. Been to many Greek Islands (favourite being Samos) but never been to Thassos before. Found a good website with Thassos info http://www.thassos-island.com/index.htm (use the international thread) but so far have no response to my questions re the accomodation we've booked. Sounds like a really good "chill out" place & can't wait now.
