Hi
I thought the upper age limit for DLA was 65 rather than 60? I also thought that if you were already in receipt of DLA before 65 you stayed on DLA rather than AA?
I hope somebody more certain can answer your query, but that was my understanding.
Good Luck

You can claim for DLA up to the day before your are 65. If you are over 65 when you claim you have to apply for Attendance Allowance.
If you claim and qualify for DLA before you are 65 you will continue to receive DLA for as long as you continue to satisfy the disability rules.
So who "told" your friend that it would end at 60? Whoever it is the usual person who considers they know and as they say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.0 -

My dad still has a Motability car and he's over 65 (just!) and there's never been any indication he would have to give it back. And as said above, he still gets his DLA because he was claiming before he was 65.0
