i changed to bt broadband about a month ago, and up until a week ago havent had any problems.
now, when i switch my laptop on, it says it can not connect to the internet. the only way around this is to right click on the computer icon on the bottom right, view available wireless networks (it then displays an error message saying windows can not configure this, and if i want it to do so, go to advanced wireless settings and tick the box "windows find network (or something similar). when i do this, it connects fine. However, when i switch off, and switch back on, i have to go through the whole performance again!
can anyone give me any suggestions please how to stop this happening?
ive got: windows xp, avg, windows firewall, using IE,
thanks!

Try right clicking on your wireless network icon, View available wireless networks, Change advanced settings, Wireless networks, Highlight your SSID, Properties, Connection. Check "Connect when this network is in range". Click OK, Advanced, Make sure "Access Point (Infrastructure) Networks only" is selected, and "Automatically connect to non-preferred networks" is unchecked. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
