I was getting the tip no problem since I first signed up to my Hotmail account and then just in the last week or so, it has'nt been getting through. I'll put the address in the buddy list or whatever and I reckon it should be fine. I'm on here on a daily basis anyway so don't miss much.

how do all the spam filters work? do they just ban that particular email because of content or will they put the senders email address in the 'block' filter?

Depends on the ISP or email company:

They block them on:
1. content,
2. If the ISP recognises they are getting a lot of the same email,
3. and sometimes if the server the emails are being sent from a server on a black list. (which the server may be on for reasons 1 and 2).

If you get emailed a list of which threads you have replied to on a weekly basis like I do, then perhaps that's why the email is getting blocked. If you don't get this emailed to you then perhaps it wouldn't block the Tip letter as you'd only be getting it once a week. I get a fair MoneysavingExpert emails each week so if I don't have them emailed, as I'm on here most of the time and can check them on here, then I'll alter it so I don't get them emailed and see if there is any difference. I'll do it now.
