Following the hugely successful mix album from DJ Hype, the world’s leading Drum & Bass web portal: Drum&BassArena (https://www.breakbeat.co.uk ) return with their latest mix album featuring two of the biggest names on the scene Radio 1 resident and Drum & Bass pioneer Fabio alongside leader of the new-skool Friction.
At 29 Brighton-raised Friction is one of only a handful of DJs to smash their way through the ranks and become leader of the pack simply through an unbelievable talent behind the decks, utilising three decks to mash up his mixes and provide an experience quite like no other.
As a teenager Friction was busy playing and promoting events in Brighton when he hooked up with local producers Stakka & K-Tee who were heavily involved in Andy C’s Ram Records imprint. Many hours of intense studio action later and in ’99 Friction dropped his debut single ‘Critical Mass’ under the Kinnetix guise which spurred major labels and soon he was releasing tracks on hype labels such as Valve, Tru Playaz, Trouble On Vinyl, 31 Records, Hospital, Charge and Renegade Hardware alongside his own Shogun Audio imprint.
Friction has won numerous accolades such as ‘Best Newcomer’ in the Drum & Bass Arena Awards (2002) Best Breakthrough DJ and Knowledge Awards (2003) ‘Best Newcomer’ at Accelerated Culture Awards, ‘Best DJ’ at MTV Romania Awards (2007). Friction has taken over the world with his unique D&B sound and here he lays down the latest and freshest tracks.

Fabio Stein was born in Spoleto, Italy, but moved to So Paulo, Brazil, at the age of 5. He started playing around with musical production in 1997, until one well known Brazilian DJ called Ricardo Guedes played some of his tracks on a Brazilian radio station (Energia 97 FM), and at the old U-Turn club in So Paulo.
Then he went back to Italy so Italy I guess

Well I wasn't sure as in the above it says born in Italy and went back to Italy but pretty much brought up in Brazil
