Went to sainsburys today for weekly shop, thought the ovaltine didnt look quite the same. Got it home and the jar has been downsized from 400g to 300g, price is £1.69, which if my memory serves me well is pretty much what I used to pay for 400g. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr:mad:

Just now noticed this thread. I too have found that Ovaltine have sneaked in a price increase by downsizing the jar size. The price (at Tesco's) used to be £1.91 for 400 grams i. e 48 pence per 100 grams. Now it's £1.69 for 300 grams i.e. 56 pence per 100 grams. A disguised increase of 16%. When I complained to the makers they said the change was in response to "demands and expectations of customers". Are customers really demanding higher prices? Somehow I don't think so. Just another con.0

Thanks Trevor. It's good to know that I am not the only MSE-er who drinks ovaltine, I was starting to think I would qualify as a minority group.
