Connecting Dvd Player To Old Tv

Hi there
As the title suggests, Iam trying to connect a dvd player to a televison so I can watch it in my bedroom.
The problem is that the tv is very old and only has a space for a normal tv arial. I have searched all over the tv and that is definately the only place where I would be able to connect it to.
On the back of my dvd player there are 2 separate sections for leads - 5.1 audio and coxials (i have no idea what either of those are all about)
Can someone please tell me if it would be possible to hook it up.
Thanks in advance.

If not, then the chepest option might be to buy one secondhand form your local newspaper for a tenner or so - make sure it has the sockets for the leads on your dvd player first. To infinity and beyond!0 -
You might have a problem with the video option above unless you can switch of macrovision copy protection on your DVD. If this is the case you will need to buy an RF Modulator - you can find them on ebay - You will probably need one like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RF-MODULATOR_W0QQitemZ5812747263QQcategoryZ98813QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem that I found just now.

Hi
Thanks for your help so far.
I am currently trying out the video option as I type.
I have connected the dvd to the video by scart. I have connected the video to the tv via arial. I am playing a dvd but when I try to tune in the tv all it finds is the video channel. (video power is on)
Is this correct or do I need to connect some more leads somewhere. I have some red, yellow and white leads that came with my dvd player i that helps?
Thanks0 -
Hey guys
I dont believe it...it works!!!! :T :T :T
The video methos does work - it was just that the video was in some strange mode. A little play around on the remote control and viola!!
I cant thank you guys enough..i would never have though of that
Now for a few "decent" movies for the bedroom.
