Hello,
Hope someone out there can help me.
My partner has a watch that stores telephone numbers etc, but it is coming to the end of its days and I wish to purchase him a new one for christmas.
As he is an IT technician, I would like him to be able to transfer the data between his watch and computer - for easy updates.
Do you know if such a thing exists, and where I can purchase one.
Many thanks.

You can get watches that inbuilt USB drives to store info that can then be downloaded to any pc with a USB port, they're made by LAKS only problem with these is that the you cant view data on the USB from the watch itself, its only storage.
This site (its US, but will give you an idea)http://www.thinkgeek.com/gadgets/watches/5eec/
is quite good, I especially like the watch using binary code for the time (not usb though)I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
Thank-you CIS, but a bit gizzmo "ish" for my guy, he like a product that just does what you want it to do , without all the bells etc.
He keeps door codes, passwords etc on the one he has, but is unable to save them to the computer, so he just needs an upgrade to his current watch.Josey0 -
fossil the us watch company do a watch with a bulit in palm pda interface. you can synchronise it with your computer. they are selling watches in the uk as well but i am not sure if they sell this model.
they have an online shop in the states and you could order it from them as well. meanwhile check this site out for more info

Thank-you for your help.
So far the closest I can find is the Timex Data Link 5B112, http://www.timex.com/bin/detail.tmx?item=753048089062
but it does not look as though it is available in the UK.
I shall keep looking.Josey0
