Do you have gas central heating? Because if so £1500 a year on electricity is a ludicrous amount to be spending on electricity!

You seriously need to look around your property and make it more energy efficient. If you do have Gas CH then your house is wasting a huge amount of energy!

we have gas ch, our house is fully lagged, all windows have the daught excluders on them, its just the rate that the meter goes down, we owe them no money on the meter its just, that we have to put £30 in a week (friday to friday)....

the meter people been out and looked at it and say its ok....
  • Bloody hell, £30 a week is a lot. i'm on Income Support with elec arrears & paying £20 a fortnight into pre-pay(card) machine. That's for both what I use & standing charge/elec debt. Though, I am a single person living alone in a one-bed apartment.

Ebico charge the same for PPM users. Most companies should change the meter in return for a security deposit.
