much better thanks, obviously removing the infected sutre has helped, she's now on differnet antibiotics and although the vet was sure from the inital swab and sample results that she had MRSA he has rung today and the regrowth on the cultures shows its a very resistant infection but not MRSA, we still have to keep after the infection with antibiotics for 6 weeks, but there is some reduction in the amount or horrible rubbish that is coming out of her leg. She must be feeling a little better as she tried to run across the lounge to get out of the door yesturday which we have not seen for weeks0 -

Little update
After 8 weeks of leaking wound Jess's leg has finally healed. Now i'm not holding my breath that it might not break down again but WOW we have had 2 full days with no dressing on and no smelly wet leaking patches where ever she has been lying. The change in antibiotics and the removal of the tightrope suture that was infected seem to have done the trick.
I might wait a few weeks before getting my carpets cleaned though just to be sure, after all she still hasnt had her limp cured, though i think we are going to have to accept hat she will limp for the rest of her life now, (shes just coming up to 6 so thats a lot of limping/discomfort for her) and something else may occur yet.0
